The Bird Sanctuary Lake area located next to the Bestari Jaya Campus grounds is the main attraction of the Bird Sanctuary and the Fish Sanctuary. The lake has an area of almost 1.5 million square meters, has a depth of 34 feet and the depth of the shallow area is 3 feet. The average depth of the entire lake is around 16 to 22 feet. This lake also becomes a rainwater catchment area if the rainfall exceeds the normal level and becomes the main location for the migration of various bird species.
This area is also seen as an area with natural treasures that have great potential to be developed as an eco-tourism, agro-tourism, and tourism industry area. The location of Bird Sanctuary is near the Student Residence which has various student activities to be carried out such as running, camping, training as well as the teaching and learning process (P&P) outside the lecture room while enjoying the beautiful panorama of the lake area. UNISEL believes that Bird Sanctuary will have a positive impact on the economic, environmental, social, tourism industry, and development sectors of the state of Selangor.
