Universiti Selangor (UNISEL) today succeeded in the βPlanting Tree For Birdsβ program through the Faculty of Communication, Visual Arts and Computing (FCVAC) in collaboration with Tenaga Switchgear Sdn. Bhd. as well as the main sponsor from the Subsidiary Management Department (SMD), Tenaga Nasional Berhad. The program was successfully implemented at UNISEL Bestari Jaya Campus Bird Protection Lake.
Prof. Datoβ Dr. Mohammad Redzuan Othman, President and Vice Chancellor of UNISEL described this program as the best step in preserving natureβs biodiversity. This effort will have a great impact on the sustainability of nature and the life found in the Bird Conservation Lake and can even give input to all on the importance of preserving natural treasures.
In the meantime, tree planting activities were carried out around the Bird Protection Lake site as well as knowledge sharing on βCelebrating Biodiversity: Natureβs Masterpieceβ was also presented by Prof. Assoc. Ts. Dr. Nor Suhaila Yaacob, Director of Bio-IT Institute Selangor UNISEL. At the end of the ceremony, the VIP delegation was also taken to explore around Tasik Lindungan Burung.
Also present throughout the ceremony was Ir Ahmad Sazree Bin Abd Aziz, Managing Director of Tenaga Switchgear Sdn. Bhd., Mr. Sirajul Huda Bin Mohamad Zain, Head of Manufacturing & Services, Corporate Division (SMD) Tenaga Nasional Berhad, Mr. Umar Ridzuan Bin Hawari, Head of Power & Head of Business Governance (SMD) Tenaga Nasional Berhad, Prof. Assoc. Ts. Dr. Wan Azlan Bin Wan Hassan, Dean (FCVAC), Ts. Dr. Latifah Abdul Latib, Director of Planting Tree For Birds Program together with Timb. Dean of Research & Postgraduate Studies (FCVAC) as well as UNISELβs Top Management Line.
