The Bird Sanctuary Lake at UNISEL was filled with color yesterday afternoon during the Mini Kite Festival organized by the UNISEL Registrar’s Office. This inaugural program was also attended by the Honorable Tuan Haji Borhan Aman Shah, the State Executive Councillor for Housing & Culture of Selangor, who officiated the event. He expressed his excitement upon witnessing the beauty of the Bird Sanctuary Lake, which has the potential to become a popular attraction for sports, recreational activities, and even tourism in the State of Selangor.

Fifteen teams participated in the Mini Kite Festival, consisting of a mix of staff and students.

Congratulations to the main winner, Team Kejora Bravo, while the second place went to Otay Group, and Team Angin Kencang Flyers secured third place.

Prof. Dato’ Dr. Mohammad Redzuan Othman, President and Vice-Chancellor of UNISEL, described the program as a relaxing recreational activity that can further strengthen the bonds among students and university staff.”

He also hopes that this initiative will enhance the sustainability of the Bird Sanctuary Lake as an ecotourism center in Selangor while simultaneously promoting fishing activities among the local community, especially in the state of Selangor.
