PROGRAM: Greening the Mosque: UNISEL Tree Planting Movement

The “Greening of the Mosque: UNISEL Tree Planting Movement”, which took place on June 24, 2025 at UNISEL Bestari Jaya Mosque, was a student-led initiative under MPU3472 in collaboration with UNISEL Mosque Islamic Center and Cybernation Club. Aligned with SDG 13: Climate Action and SDG 15: Life on Land, the program aimed to raise environmental awareness, integrate the Islamic values of stewardship (khalifah) and promote sustainable practices through hands-on action. Twenty students participated in planting native tree species to beautify the mosque, improve air quality and promote biodiversity. This meaningful action combined environmental education with community service, promoting unity and inspiring further green initiatives on campus.
