The “Organic Fertilizer Workshop: Recycling Food Waste for Sustainable Agriculture” program, held at UNISEL’s Aquatic Biotechnology Laboratory on June 12, 2025, promoted sustainable agriculture and responsible waste management by aligning with Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 12: Responsible Consumption and Production and SDG 15: Life on Land. The workshop provided participants with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills to turn biodegradable waste such as eggshells, fruit peels, and vegetable scraps into nutrient-rich organic fertilizer. By addressing the environmental impact of food waste and reducing reliance on chemical fertilizers, the program promoted eco-friendly habits, strengthened community collaboration, and empowered students to actively engage in sustainability on and off campus..
