PROGRAM: Save the Earth – Papercup Edition

The programme titled “Save the Earth – Papercup Edition” was successfully organized at Sai Pandian Orphanage, located in Petaling Jaya. This social responsibility initiative was conducted as part of our commitment to community engagement and to raising awareness of environmental sustainability.
The primary objective of organizing this programme was to promote environmental consciousness among children, particularly in relation to waste management and recycling practices. The programme aimed to educate participants on the importance of the 3R principles Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle through interactive and practical activities. The “Papercup Edition” activity specifically focused on demonstrating how used paper cups can be creatively repurposed into useful craft items, thereby encouraging sustainable habits and reducing environmental waste.
In addition, the programme sought to provide the children with an engaging and meaningful learning experience outside of their regular routine. By incorporating creative hands-on activities, the initiative aimed to enhance their creativity, teamwork skills, and
self-confidence. Conducting the programme at Sai Pandian Orphanage also allowed our team to contribute positively to the well-being and personal development of the children through educational and recreational engagement.
Overall, the “Save the Earth – Papercup Edition” programme achieved its intended objectives of fostering environmental awareness, encouraging sustainable practices, and strengthening community involvement. It served as a platform to instill positive values while promoting social responsibility among both the participants and the organizing team.
